Strategic guidance from construction documents through occupancy. A successful project requires more than good drawings.
Once a project moves into construction documents, owners are often faced with consultant coordination, schedules, budgets, permit reviews, contractor selection, and a steady stream of decisions that can affect project outcomes.
As an Owner's Representative, Waldron Planning & Design serves as the owner's strategic advisor throughout project delivery. Our role is to help owners stay informed, organized, and focused on the goals established during planning and design.
Owner's Representation is not required for every project. For clients undertaking complex renovations, additions, institutional improvements, educational facilities, or multi-consultant projects, it can provide continuity from initial planning through construction and occupancy.
Owners often manage construction projects only once or twice in their lifetime. Architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants each play important roles — but their responsibilities are focused on their respective scopes of work.
An Owner's Representative provides a different perspective. Our responsibility is to help owners understand what is happening, evaluate options, coordinate stakeholders, and make informed decisions throughout the project lifecycle.
Many Waldron projects begin with feasibility studies, as-built documentation, development planning, and conceptual design. Once a project moves into construction documents, owners often transition to an architect of record, larger design team, or specialized consultants responsible for technical documentation, permitting, and project delivery.
That transition does not have to mark the end of Waldron's involvement.
As an Owner's Representative, Waldron can remain engaged as the owner's strategic advisor — providing continuity from early planning and design through construction documents, permitting, bidding, construction, and occupancy.
This continuity helps preserve project goals, maintain clear communication, and ensure that decisions remain aligned with the objectives established during planning.

For select projects, Waldron's role can continue beyond feasibility, development planning, and conceptual design. By remaining engaged throughout project delivery, we help preserve project goals, support decision-making, and provide continuity from initial concept through occupancy.
